Portsmouth are set for a small additional injection of cash as more stadium tours are arranged at Fratton Park, with many selling out.

The club announced on their official website [20 August] that further opportunities have been added to the calendar for fans young and old to explore the home of Pompey.

Priced at £15 for adults and £7.50 for children aged 15 or under, the Blues will benefit from the added funding with summer holiday tours now on offer, as well as the usual Fratton guides on home matchdays before kick-off.

Three of the seven separate dates advertised on the club's ticketing site are now sold out, with the tours on sale running from late August until October.

Portsmouth looking to slowly reap back stadium funding

In various ways, Portsmouth are now slowly starting to build back the blocks of the heavy spending on Fratton Park and the club's wider infrastructure throughout the summer.

Following much-needed development worth over £15m, which will help the club's future back in the Championship and beyond, there are sure-fire ways that Pompey are utilising to earn further funds.

Additional TV revenue, a marginally higher stadium capacity and now the new tour dates are all helping the club progress financially, even if it's being drip-fed.

Blues fans will be delighted with the club finally dipping into the kitty for transfers, having signed several players on free deals during the window.

After all, investment from clubs breeds investment from supporters.
