Portsmouth chiefs deserve praise over a ticketing announcement made regarding the Women's side's upcoming clash with Luton Town Ladies.

Pompey Women set up a third-round tie with their Luton counterparts, who defeated Stevenage to advance in the Adobe Women's FA Cup.

The contest will take place at Westleigh Park on 8 December and, as confirmed by the club on its official website [2 December], tickets are available for a bargain price.

Indeed, all children can attend for just £1, while senior tickets are priced at £4 and adult tickets are £6, encouraging all the family to attend.

The women's side deserve as big a crowd as possible for this match as Jay Sadler's team look to progress into the fourth round.

At a time when clubs around the country are criticised over ticket prices, it is good to see these tickets being kept down - especially in terms of those in the children's category.

Getting fans into Westleigh Park will hopefully help to generate a good atmosphere in what looks like being a tasty cup tie.

Pompey Women are fresh off the back of a heavy loss to neighbours Southampton, which Sadler has not hidden away from.

While things are not looking great in that competition, this visit of Luton is an opportunity to at least stay on track in the Adobe Women's FA Cup.

Let's hope those in the area make the most of the discounted prices, and then it's over to those on the field to do the rest.
