Callum Lang could be out for eight weeks at Portsmouth

Therefore, any injury to the attacker would no doubt be a blow going into the final fixtures before the international break.

Now, Mousinho confirmed on 20 August via Ian Wilding on X that Lang is set to be out for a maximum of eight weeks.

  • Lang joined Portsmouth in 2024 from Wigan
  • Here, the attacker has helped Pompey reach and stay in the Championship
  • Lang could miss the South Coast derby on 14 September

If this does happen, then Portsmouth will be without the 26-year-old for seven matches, including the South Coast derby against Southampton.

However, there is a possibility that he returns in just four weeks, which could put him in contention for the match against the Saints.

Nevertheless, what is certain is that Lang will be out of the West Brom and Preston ties in the coming weeks.

Can Portsmouth survive without Callum Lang?

It is no doubt going to be difficult for Portsmouth now that they have lost Lang.

According to Fotmob on 20 August, the winger great first two matches in the Championship, and has already produced a 0.82 xA.

Therefore, Portsmouth may need to replace Lang before the transfer window shuts.
