Portsmouth fell to another defeat in the Championship on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 by Millwall, but there was a positive.

Fans were frustrated as Pompey were beaten on the road again, with Mihail Ivanovic proving too hot to handle in the air as he scored a brace.

Portsmouth did find an equaliser through Andre Dozzell, but poor defending consigned them to defeat.

Fans were impressed with Dozzell's goal, which came after fine work from substitute Harvey Blair, and the youngster has now been praised.

Portsmouth fans praise Blair despite Millwall defeat

Young winger Blair was introduced in the 69th minute, and he had a positive impact on the game, helping set up Dozzell's equaliser with a brilliant low cross in the build-up.

Portsmouth sleepwalking back into relegation battle

Portsmouth were and are still in a good position to stay up, as they are five points clear of the drop zone with six games remaining, but this dip in form is concerning.

Pompey have lost three of their last four games, and their upcoming clash with an in-form Derby County could swing the tide in the relegation battle.

If John Mousinho's side continues to drop points, then they may end up dangerously close to the relegation zone heading into the final stages of the season.

However, one or two victories would likely see Portsmouth beat the drop, but Mousinho may have to rethink his selections if his side are to improve.
