Portsmouth picked up a potentially vital point in the Championship with a 1-1 draw against Hull City at the MKM Stadium.

Josh Murphy equalised just seconds after half-time to secure a point on 2 November, with a much-improved second half earning the draw on the road for John Mousinho's side.

Mousinho made three changes to his starting XI as Kusini Yengi, Matt Ritchie and Nicolas Schmid returned to the line-up.

Here, Pompey News rates the performances of the team from the MKM Stadium, with stats from Fotmob.

Portsmouth get much-needed point v Hull City

Nicolas Schmid - 5

No chance for the Hull opener, under some pressure upon his return from injury as Jordan Archer had done himself justice in his absence. Made two saves, but his distribution was unconvincing.

Terry Devlin (off for Jordan Williams 67') - 6

Impressed while out of position against Sheffield Wednesday and was rightly shown faith from Mousinho again. Not quite as impactful, but steady from the youngster.

Regan Poole - 5

Let Galvao across him for the Tigers' goal, usually an assured presence at the back. Has had better games, but did recover to win his duels and play out well from the defence.

Tom McIntyre - 7

Better than some of his recent performances, made 12 defensive actions and was everywhere to look to keep out Hull, standing out above most at the back.

Connor Ogilvie - 4

Another goal which originated from down his side, should have done more to stop the cross from Belloumi for Galvao's strike. Had a mixed afternoon in duels, but struggled in possession going forward, usually his strength. Could be argued he needs a bit of help from his teammates covering.

Portsmouth recover to take draw from Hull City

Freddie Potts - 7

Has been Mousinho's most impressive midfield player this season, and has shown flashes of his ability once again. Nothing quite came off for him in the first half, but like several others improved in the second and won seven duels.

Andre Dozzell (off for Owen Moxon 81') - 6

Busy defensively, and not strong enough at times in the tackle but an improved performance on a slow start to his Pompey career. Put in an excellent ball which Yengi should have done better with.

Matt Ritchie (off for Sam Silvera 75') - 8

An excellent professional performance from an experienced player restored to the side. Sometimes without the impact he has made his reputation throughout his career, is to be expected in his later years. A real shining light.

Callum Lang - 7

Faded in and out but always looked direct, you wonder how much worse it could have been this season if he wasn't around. Got down the right well and supplied Murphy for the scrappy leveller, but a goal nonetheless. Hit the bar late on in a huge chance to snatch it.

Josh Murphy - 7

Cancelled out a non-existent display in the first half with a crucial equaliser to start the second, out of nothing. Goals like that will be hugely welcome in Pompey's situation, and continue to impress and show his experience as he improves.

Kusini Yengi (off for Mark O'Mahony 67') - 3

Brought in and struggled to threaten the Hull defence. There are still question marks over his match fitness, and he made just one pass and had 13 touches all day, including a good chance over the bar. Could have had a penalty before being replaced, but the referee wasn't interested.

Substitutes

Jordan Williams (on for Terry Devlin 67') - 5

Sam Silvera (on for Matt Ritchie 75') - 5
