West Ham have Potts plan in mind after what's happened at Portsmouth - Exclusive
West Ham look set to welcome Freddie Potts back to the London Stadium with open arms after his loan with Portsmouth.
The 21-year-old made a temporary switch to Fratton Park in the summer ahead of his first season of Championship football.
It is fair to say that the Englishman has been superb on the south coast as he has flourished under the management of John Mousinho.
This looks likely to see him earn a first-team chance with the Hammers as his return is set to be welcomed in the summer.
Potts wanted at West Ham after Portsmouth spell
There is no doubt that the former Wycombe Wanderers loanee has been a breath of fresh air since coming in, playing a key role for Pompey.
This has seen him feature regularly against the likes of Andre Dozzell and Isaac Hayden as second-tier survival looks to be a guarantee in PO4.

As a result of this, Potts will certainly be a miss for Mousinho when he departs as hope of bringing him back to Fratton Park fall away.
This comes as former Hammers midfielder Martin Allen has suggested Graham Potter will be eager to have him back in the squad ready for preseason.
Speaking exclusively to Pompey News, Allen said: “Yeah, I'd like to see more of Freddie Potts, he's a good player.
“He's come from a good footballing stock with his dad Steve Potts, who was an excellent player for West Ham.
“Freddie has done really well at Portsmouth, there's no doubt about that.
“I'm sure that if he does train through the summer, he'll get himself in a good place to be under starters' orders when the squad is ready for pre-season training.”
Mousinho needs Potts alternative at Portsmouth
With what Allen is saying, it appears unlikely that the Fratton Park club have any chance of bringing the midfielder back from the Irons.
Potter is dealing with a difficult period right now, but has no shortage of young talent to hang his hat on moving forward.
Potts, alongside the likes of Lewis Orford, could represent the future at the London Stadium, as much of a blow as that could be for Pompey.
With that in mind, it is up to Mousinho to find an alternative for the 21-year-old who can fill the void he is set to leave when he departs for East London.
