Portsmouth to ‘flip’ script v Millwall at The Den as prediction made
Portsmouth will be looking to move further away from the Championship relegation zone when they face Millwall on Saturday.
John Mousinho and Co. will be hopeful of building on their 1-0 win against Blackburn at Fratton Park when they lock horns with Millwall at The Den on 5 April.
A victory over Alex Neil’s side would see Pompey steer further clear of the danger zone and as high as 14th place in the Championship.
However, 13th-placed Millwall will pose a significant threat, having won two of their last four league games.

Portsmouth to edge past Millwall
Portsmouth will have to shake off their poor record in away games if they want to claim all three points against Millwall this weekend.
It is worth noting that Pompey have won only two of their 20 away matches across all competitions this season, with the last one coming against Oxford United on 15 February.
| Team | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Goal Difference | Points |
| 13. Millwall | 39 | 13 | 12 | 14 | -3 | 51 |
| 17. Portsmouth | 39 | 12 | 9 | 18 | -14 | 45 |
Furthermore, Millwall earned a 1-0 victory over Mousinho’s side when they visited Fratton Park in their opening game of the season.
Despite all that, Sam Parkin has predicted that Portsmouth will edge past Neil and Co. at The Den on Saturday.
“I just think there’s more on it, clearly, for Portsmouth”, Parkin said on Benjamin Bloom’s YouTube channel (2 April).
“Millwall won, didn’t they, narrowly at Pompey, I’m going to flip it.
“I’m going to go for Pompey to win by a goal to nil at The Den.”
Pompey must be at best to beat Millwall
Portsmouth were not the dominant team in their 1-0 win against Blackburn last Saturday (29 March) by any means.
The Rovers had more shots, shots on target, possession and passes, among others, but Mousinho’s side eventually came out on top, thanks to a first-half goal from Josh Murphy.
The Fratton Park outfit will have to produce a similarly resilient performance if they want to win their third away win of the season against Millwall.
Mousinho will be expecting his more experienced players, Murphy and Matt Ritchie, to be at the top of their game, while the likes of Colby Bishop and Adil Aouchiche need to be firing on all cylinders too.
