Fabrizio Romano drops big transfer update on top Portsmouth summer target
Portsmouth have already begun to shortlist players ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
John Mousinho has had a successful year in the Championship as he guided Pompey to a 16th-place finish.
Now, the manager will be tasked on improving this position at Fratton Park next year as they aim to completely avoid a relegation battle.
However, Portsmouth may now lose out on one of their top targets according to a new update from Fabrizio Romano.

Ajax and Feyenoord aiming to sign Portsmouth target Hindolo Mustapha
One of Portsmouth’s top targets this summer is Mustapha. The Crystal Palace midfielder has impressed in the academy and could be given an opportunity to go out on loan.
The 18-year-old has eight goals and two assists in 19 Premier League 2 matches this season and is seen as strong both offensively and defensively.

A new midfielder for Portsmouth is seen as a key position this summer, and Mustapha would no doubt be an excellent option for Mousinho.
However, Portsmouth may now have suffered a blow in any potential deal for the midfielder.
According to Fabrizio Romano via X (5 May), Portsmouth face competition for Mustapha this summer from big-name clubs
Three loan deals are reportedly on the table for Crystal Palace, while Dutch giants Ajax and Feyenoord are aiming to sign the 18-year-old permanently.
Portsmouth may face a tricky summer window
Unfortunately for Portsmouth, this summer may be a tricky window for the South Coast club.
It is always difficult to attract players to Championship sides, especially if there is another team in a higher division who is willing to offer better terms.
Mousinho has done well at persuading stars in the past to come to Fratton Park, but that could be even harder this summer.
Both Birmingham City and Wrexham, who have just been promoted from League One, will no doubt add extra competition to Portsmouth’s potential market.
However, hopefully Mousinho manages to guide Pompey through the transfer window and improves the squad once again.
