Ebou Adams loved what he saw from one of his Portsmouth teammates against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 30-year-old is in his first full season as a Pompey player, having joined from Derby County in January.

He's still trying to carve out a key role under John Mousinho though, with just four Championship starts from his 11 games this term.

One of those four did come against Wolves on Tuesday night though, with the Gambian international playing the full 90 minutes.

Those Pompey fans who made the trip to Molineux were rewarded for their dedication too.

A late equaliser from Terry Devlin secured a vital 1-1 away point, and extended Pompey's unbeaten run to three games.

Which Portsmouth player did Ebou Adams single out for praise vs Wolves?

Whilst not a vintage game of football and one that lacked quality in attack from both sides, Portsmouth won't care one bit.

It was a battling and spirited away performance by the Blues, who didn't let Jordan James' 62nd-minute opener allow Wolves to kick on and win the game.

As it turned out, Pompey only needed one shot on target to see the ball in the back of the Wanderers' net, and what a strike it was from Devlin.

Taking to his Instagram on Wednesday, the Northern Ireland international said: "Good point on the road, fans were unreal."

A host of Pompey players responded in the comments, one of which being Adams, who simply said of Devlin: "Beast."

Meanwhile, Thomas Waddingham said: "Northy special", whilst Marlon Pack commented: "The paintbrush."

Adrian Segecic broke into song, saying: "Terry Devlin babyyyyyy", Zak Swanson said: "Top brother", whilst Eoin Kenny commented: "Main man."

So, aside from his goal, just how good was Devlin's all-round performance against Wolves?

How many clearances did Devlin make vs Wolves?

As of recently, Devlin had seen his role in Portsmouth's side start to dwindle slightly.

Prior to Wolves, the 22-year-old had gone four Championship games without a start, and was even an unused substitute against Blackburn.

However, his man of the match performance on Tuesday night will surely see Mousinho keep him in the side for the visit of Millwall to Fratton Park on Saturday.

Per FotMob, Devlin played six passes into the final third, six line-breaking passes, won two tackles and made five recoveries.

On top of that, he also made eight clearances, double that of any other player on the pitch at Molineux.

Devlin also won all three of his ground and aerial duels, won a foul, made one interception and played one accurate long ball.

In short, Devlin's goal was the icing on the cake of what was already a superb display from the right-back, especially against a dangerous Wolves attack.

A performance certainly befitting of Adams' description, then.
