Marko Milovanovic sends three-word message after Portsmouth heroics vs Norwich
Marko Milovanovic is re-establishing himself as a talismanic player for Portsmouth.
The 23-year-old had spent over a month on the sidelines with a calf injury prior to the South Coast derby with Southampton.
It was a badly-timed absence too, as the Serbian striker had bagged two goals in his previous three Championship games prior to injury.
Pompey missed him too, as John Mousinho's side then failed to pick up a win from the following three games he was sidelined for.
Colby Bishop wasn't able to pick up the goalscoring baton, and thus his return to fitness has been anxiously awaited by the Fratton Park faithful.
So, after starting but drawing a blank against Sheffield United, Milovanovic was again entrusted with leading the line against Norwich on Saturday.
What did Marko Milovanovic say after Portsmouth win vs Norwich?
Saturday saw Portsmouth try to register back-to-back wins for the first time in 2026-27.
That was going to be easier said than done in Norfolk, despite the fact Norwich entered the game having lost five matches on the spin.
The Canaries have now lost six on the bounce, as Pompey defeated them by a goal to nil in a quality away performance by the Blues.
Indeed, it was Milovanovic who netted the winning goal, doing so via the penalty spot with 51 minutes on the clock.
This was enough to seal a crucial three points for Pompey, and Milovanovic basked in the moment after the game.
Taking to his Instagram account, the striker summed up his emotions by saying: "What a feeling!"
So, just how good was Milovanovic's performance at Carrow Road?
Why penalty rescued Milovanovic vs Norwich
Top strikers find avenues to goal and make impacts in matches even when they're not particularly in the game.
Milovanovic was starved of quality service against Norwich, but did still get himself on the scoresheet, albeit by way of a penalty rather than from open play.
In the 71 minutes he was on the pitch for, he took just 19 touches with only two of those coming in the Norwich box, per FotMob.
His only shot of the game was the penalty, whilst he completed a mere seven passes, won one of his three ground duels and committed two fouls.
Overall then, it wasn't a performance - nor was it a game - that too many people will remember from Milovanovic.
But Mousinho, Milovanovic and Portsmouth won't care one bit, as they'll happily take goals and points like that all season long if they can.
