John Mousinho has collected another individual management award, winning the LMA Performance of the Week accolade for his Portsmouth exploits.

Pompey announced the news on their official website (4 January), having begun 2025 in the best possible fashion, dismantling Swansea City 4-0 at Fratton Park in a whirlwind performance.

Sir Alex Ferguson and Les Ferdinand are among the names on the LMA (League Managers' Association) panel to have decided on awarding Mousinho.

Portsmouth start 2025 on superb note

Mousinho is looking to restore Portsmouth onto a consistent note in the Championship, with home form largely a success but work urgently needed on the road.

The Blues boss is no stranger to awards having seen his achievements recognised in last season's promotion triumph, in his first full campaign in management.

January not only began with the rout over Swansea but also an early new face, as Mousinho's former teammate Rob Atkinson arrived on loan from Bristol City to bolster the defensive ranks.

Three huge away league games could define this month on the pitch as Pompey seek an upturn in form on their travels, starting with Sunday's trip to Sunderland (5 January).

Mousinho also takes his side to familiar territory in the FA Cup in the following encounter (10 January), former League One opponents Wycombe Wanderers hosting the Blues in a Friday night clash.
