Portsmouth injury news: Doctor issues Christian Saydee update
Portsmouth attacking midfielder Christian Saydee will likely be out of action for two weeks, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that more than the setback, the concern will be his hamstring as he had already been ruled out with the same issue.
John Mousinho revealed on 18 March that it was not a significant blow and that it was a neural injury and not a muscular one.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Portsmouth News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“He was forced off the pitch holding his hamstring and while it’s not ideal, it could have been worse.
“Based on the manager’s comments, it’s a nerve-related issue which has been bothering that leg and not a muscular injury.
“The timeline looks to be around two weeks but the key concern will be re-injury as has happened here.
“It’s the same hamstring so that’s going to be a worry for the club and the player himself.”
Saydee’s injury may affect the plans of Portsmouth
Portsmouth fans and everyone involved with the club will be hoping that Saydee returns to action as soon as possible.
He has played 29 league matches this season but his goal-scoring record has been underwhelming, to say the least.
The 21-year-old has scored just one league goal and provided two more assists and has also been deployed as a striker on a few occasions.

Mousinho will be hoping that he can offer more in the final third in the business end of the season.
