Portsmouth: Paul Hurst not happy with penalty decision in 3-1 win v Shrewsbury
Paul Hurst has exploded at the decision to hand Portsmouth a penalty in their 3-1 win against Shrewsbury on Saturday 6 April.
Charles Breakspear decided to point to the spot after a foul on Kusini Yengi, which Colby Bishop dispatched easily to push his side to three points.
Hurst was far from happy, calling it a “terrible” decision which has Pompey only one win away from the Championship next season.
Speaking to the Shropshire Star following the match, Hurst was far from happy with what he saw from the officials.
“Ultimately it is a terrible decision, it really is,” he said.
“No surprise to me. I promise you that wouldn’t have gone at the other end. I don’t know they end up telling you to calm down and things like that but they don’t get it. They just don’t get it and it is simply just not good enough.”
Portsmouth flying to the Championship
Despite not being the best performance, at this stage of the season, it is all about winning no matter how you play and John Mousinho will know that.
Hurst spitting his dummy out will make no difference, just as not getting a penalty would have done to yet another three points at home.

Paul Merson recently admitted he was sure this season would end in promotion for his former club, and that looks to be coming true after years of trying to get back to the Championship.
With nine points the gap to Bolton in third, a win over the same opponents next time out would confirm promotion and that would be unbelievable.
Finance Expert, Dan Plumley shared that promotion would be worth £7-8million to the club and that would be a huge boost in itself.
Bring it on, they are almost there.
