Kusini Yengi makes Portsmouth plea to Alex Robertson with eight-word message
Kusini Yengi has made a Portsmouth plea to Alex Robertson with an eight-word message on Instagram.
Robertson, who impressed on loan at Fratton Park from Manchester City before injury ended his campaign in January last season, is currently enjoying a well-deserved break from football in the Maldives.
He took to Instagram on Thursday (July 25) to share some amazing-looking pictures alongside a caption, which included a palm tree.
Pompey striker Yengi was then quick to reply to his fellow Australia international in the comments section leaving an eight-word plea: “Enough holiday, come give me some assists please.”
Portsmouth face a battle for Alex Robertson
Portsmouth might face a battle to see Robertson back in Pompey colours next season with Cardiff City now interested in his services [The News, July 25].
Portsmouth are also keen to bring Robertson back, especially after his standout performance helped push their League One title campaign.
However, a hamstring injury cut his season short in January, and his future with City remains uncertain.
Sporting director Rich Hughes mentioned that clarity on Robertson’s situation is hard to come by as he recovers and nears the end of his City contract [The News, July 25].

The uncertainty of whether Robertson will leave City permanently or return on another loan adds to the tension.
Pompey fans will be hoping that they can secure his signature, but with Cardiff making moves, the battle for Robertson is heating up.
But let’s hope that a little gentle encouragement from Yengi might twist his arm over a return to Fratton Park next term.
