Liverpool ready to sell Harvey Blair to Portsmouth – report
Liverpool are open to selling Harvey Blair to Portsmouth if the right offer is tabled, according to David Lynch.
The Evening Standard journalist reported via his Substack page [18 August] that Blair is set to join the exodus of young talent from Anfield.
Portsmouth are named as one of the Championship clubs showing an interest in the 20-year-old, with a permanent sale on the cards.
Liverpool make surprise decision on Harvey Blair
Blair was heavily involved in the Reds’ pre-season programme and it looked as though he may have first-team opportunities this season.
When Portsmouth’s interest first emerged, it was expected the youngster would only be allowed out of Anfield on a loan basis.
However, this report claims Liverpool have taken the surprising decision to get rid of academy prospect Blair permanently for the right fee.
While not an awful lot is known about the forward, it is clear from what has been said that he is a big talent – even if Liverpool disagree.

Pompey need to be smart with their summer transfer business, of course, but it is unlikely that a large fee will be required to sign Blair.
If the club can negotiate a fee, this is a transfer that makes total sense to push through before the 30 August deadline.
