Kusini Yengi injury news emerges ahead of Portsmouth v QPR clash
Portsmouth striker Kusini Yengi is unlikely to be ready to start the QPR clash on 19 October due to his recent injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he is lacking match sharpness due to his limited availability this season for John Mousinho.
While it is a positive development that he will be available for the game at Loftus Road, he will need a couple of games to get into a rhythm.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Portsmouth News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “He’s had a tough start to the season and is certainly lacking match sharpness.
“The positive is that he’s likely to be available over the weekend but he does not seem ready to play 90 minutes yet.
“Given his lack of match sharpness, he will need a couple of bounce games before he’s even ready to start so I’m not expecting him to start this weekend.“
Kusini Yengi has barely featured for Portsmouth this season
The Australia international has played just 57 minutes of league action this season for Pompey and that’s nowhere near enough if he wants to be at full fitness.
Last term, the 25-year-old did play 26 league games and found the back of the net on nine occasions in League One.

Mousinho will be hoping that he gets up to speed with his fitness and can have an impact in the Championship as well.
