Injury Expert: Portsmouth ace expected to miss training for another two weeks

Portsmouth defender Jordan Williams is out with a potential Grade 2 hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the 25-year-old is expected to miss training for at least another two weeks.

It’s also important that the club do not rush him back into action as hamstring setbacks are prone to re-injury.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Portsmouth News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “This seems like a potential Grade 2 hamstring injury.

“I see him out of training for at least another two weeks.

“As hamstring injuries are quite sensitive to re-injury, it’s imperative that the club is methodical with his return.

“Bringing him back too soon can be devastating in the long run.”

Jordan Williams has been a mainstay for Portsmouth

The 25-year-old has made 12 league appearances this season and it’s evident how highly John Mousinho rates him.

He last featured in the 1-0 defeat against Plymouth Argyle on 5 November and the expectation is that he’ll be back before the end of the year.

Williams is also walking the suspension tightrope, having picked up four bookings already.
