The 28-year-old kicked things off at Fratton Park with his goal, but it was the pressing that was so impressive to force an error from the Robins.

Pushing onto Max O’Leary, the striker forced him into a bad touch before a poor pass in the middle led to him having the perfect chance to open the scoring.
Bishop made two defensive actions, winning 50 per cent of his two ground duels as well as two recoveries as he led from the front [Fotmob].
Although he missed the first chance, he took a deep breath and finished calmly to set his side on the way at Fratton Park to another huge Championship three points.

After O’Leary saved the initial strike, Bishop guided the ball home with ease into the gaping net.
The striker had three shots on the afternoon, with an expected goal total of only 0.59, so his efficiency will have pleased Mousinho in the final third.
Bishop hit the target with two of his three shots for a 67 per cent accuracy, as well as taking seven touches in the opposition box, as he continued to find space with ease.
It only got better for the attacker too, as he showed the final side of his game.
With only one goal separating the two sides, Bishop took matters into his own hands to put the ball on a plate for Josh Murphy to double the lead and calm some nerves.

With two options to choose from, Bishop picked the right option as he laid it forward for Murphy to sweep home on his right foot and find the back of the net.
The striker was only accurate with 55 per cent of his 33 attempted passes, but made it count on this occasion, creating two chances.
Not only that, but he played four passes into the final third with his progressive play helping Mousinho to unleash his other attacking options, with Callum Lang also scoring late on.
Portsmouth must spend in January to keep form going?
Ian Darke has urged the Pompey board to spend some money in the upcoming January window, and form like this may help that claim.
Should Mousinho keep it going over the next three weeks, he may earn those funds to continue the good run of form and push up the table.
One thing is for sure, Bishop will continue to be the main man at Fratton Park, no matter who is signed.
