John Mousinho time wasted with ridiculous Portsmouth transfer question
Portsmouth manager John Mousinho was probably left baffled when he had a name thrown at him when speaking to the media on Tuesday.
It is the time of year for transfer speculation with the winter window just hours away from opening but Mousinho will no doubt be laser-focused on New Year’s Day’s showdown with Swansea at Fratton Park.
Pompey are 23rd in the Championship table and a win against the Welsh side could move them out of the relegation zone.
And while most of the questions thrown at Mousinho by BBC Radio Solent made sense, there was one moment where the Pompey manager’s time was wasted when he was asked about Rangers left-back Robbie Fraser.
Who is Robbie Fraser and why is he linked with Portsmouth?
Rumours linking the 21-year-old Scot with a move to Fratton Park started on 29 December when an X account called “TC9” said that the Blues have agreed a £200,000 fee to sign him from Rangers.
TC9 is an anonymous account that seems to only post about transfers that are almost done. They even claimed on 20 December that Portsmouth had made a bid of £1.25million for Oxford United’s Tyler Goodrham.

Basically, it’s an account that fabricates transfer stories for the sake of engagement.
Bizarrely, the Daily Record and even BBC Sport picked up the made-up story.
Just a few minutes of digging would make you realise that this isn’t anything worth talking about but Portsmouth’s manager has actually been asked about it.
Understandably, the Blues boss’ response was to say that there’s “nothing in that”.
