Portsmouth to raise five-figure sum with exciting Michael Smith event
Portsmouth have announced an exciting event which is set to take place in the off-season at Fratton Park.
Pompey fans will be hoping for an eagerly awaited summer in which the clockwork-operating duo of John Mousinho and Rich Hughes can bring some talented signings to Fratton and push the club even further forward.
In the height of that period in late June, Portsmouth announced via their official website (19 March) that tickets are now on sale for an unprecedented event by Zeal Sports Management featuring several of the most famous darts players in the world.

Fratton Park set to welcome Michael Smith and James Wade
Portsmouth have hosted some wonderful events at Fratton Park down the years, and owner Michael Eisner will be very keen to put the Blues’ stadium further on the map as the place to be.
On Friday 27 June, PO4 will welcome 2023 World Darts Champion Michael Smith alongside James Wade, Dave Chisnall and Scotty Williams for a darts match from which a percentage of ticket sales will funnel into Pompey in the Community.
Smith, nicknamed ‘Bully Boy’, won the PDC World Championships two years ago, before handing the Sid Waddell Trophy over to Luke Humphries, and most recently current champion Luke Littler.
Wade won the Premier League in 2009, and is a two-time winner of the World Grand Prix, while Chisnall reached a career-best as a world semi-finalist in 2021, reaching the quarter-finals of the World Matchplay on five occasions.
Williams was a world semi-finalist in 2024 before being knocked out by eventual champion Humphries, who had also eliminated Chisnall in the previous round before beating Littler in the final.
Portsmouth will host the unmissable spectacle which will bring together passionate football and darts fans alike at Fratton Park.

Portsmouth could raise thousands for community programme
A superb night in prospect not to be missed, a raffle and an auction with some incredible prizes and offerings will also be held at the Portsmouth community event.
Further proceeds will go into the local community programme, helping people across the region from various walks of life.
Fratton Park has been heavily invested into by the Portsmouth ownership regime, which puts it in a stronger position to be able to host events of this calibre even outside of the football season.
