Ogilvie ‘in trouble’ after what Mousinho has said about Portsmouth v Blackburn
John Mousinho will be looking to get back to winning ways when Portsmouth host Blackburn, although it looks as though Connor Ogilvie might miss out.
The March international break came at just the right time for Pompey after back-to-back losses against Plymouth and Preston, which left Mousinho fuming with the Portsmouth players.
A two-week break is perhaps what everybody at the club needed to clear their heads, especially as Pompey once again find themselves in the relegation mix in the Championship.
Mousinho’s side will be looking for a big win against Blackburn Rovers at Fratton Park on Saturday (29 March) as they look to once again climb the table.
And it looks as though the home side could be handed a big boost for the clash, although it is a boost which could spell trouble for Ogilvie.

Ogilvie to be axed for Portsmouth v Blackburn
Mousinho opted to play Ogilvie out of position against Preston.
Injuries in defence have forced the Portsmouth boss to get a bit creative this season, although these changes clearly didn’t work against Plymouth or Preston as Pompey were beaten on both occasions.
Therefore, Mousinho will be relieved that he has a centre-back he could call on to make his debut for Portsmouth against Blackburn, the first of eight games which will define Pompey’s season.

That centre-back is Alexander Milošević, who was signed by Portsmouth on 7 March on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
Milošević was a free agent after leaving AIK at the end of 2024, having helped the Swedish club to qualify for the UEFA Conference League.
And when asked about a potential debut for the 33-year-old, Mousinho said the club were targeting the upcoming clash with Blackburn.
Therefore, with Cohen Bramall in fine form as of late, Ogilvie could be the player to drop to the bench to allow for Milošević to make his Fratton Park debut.
Milošević could save Portsmouth from relegation
Milošević’s arrival at Fratton Park is a big boost.
The ex-Nottingham Forest defender is an experienced centre-back who will no doubt prove useful to Portsmouth as the club look to avoid relegation.
