Portsmouth told to announce new Cohen Bramall contract immediately – ’10 more years’
Cohen Bramall is coming into his own at Portsmouth since joining from Rotherham in the winter transfer window.
The left-back has started both of Pompey’s last two games but will have been disappointed when his first start for the Championship club resulted in a 2-1 defeat to Preston on 15 March.
However, Bramall made a better account of himself when John Mousinho’s men defeated Blackburn 1-0 at Fratton Park last time out.
The former Rotherham man is likely to start again in Pompey’s trip to Millwall on Saturday, 5 April.

Portsmouth fans set Bramall contract demand
Bramall signed a short-term deal with Pompey upon his arrival, meaning his current contract at Fratton Park is set to expire at the end of the season.
On 2 April, Portsmouth wished the left-back a happy birthday, but the message was met by several supporters demanding a fresh contract announcement.
One Pompey supporter commented: “Give him a contract for his birthday”, while another user said: “We want more, we want more.”
Portsmouth should hand Bramall a new deal
It is no surprise that Portsmouth fans are so eager to see Bramall handed a fresh deal, as he has proven in recent weeks that he has what it takes to perform at Championship level.

The full-back was a key part of a Rotherham side who were then freshly promoted from League One and retained their second-tier status at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Now, after Pompey won the League One title just last term, Bramall has helped steer Mousinho’s men away from the relegation zone and into 17th.
He was particularly impressive when he came off the bench in Pompey’s 1-0 win over then league leaders Leeds on 9 March and helped the Blues keep the highest scoring side in the Championship at bay.
After Portsmouth kept a clean sheet as they beat Blackburn last time out, Bramall proved his defensive solidity in just his second start for Mousinho’s men.
Therefore, he has earned his right to be handed a longer-term future at Fratton Park.
