‘FA could hit Millwall with total stadium ban’ after alleged Portsmouth incident
Millwall could be forced to play inside an empty stadium after allegations were made after their 2-1 win over Portsmouth on Saturday.
Alex Neil’s side were triumphant at The Den thanks to two goals by Mihailo Ivanovic. However, after the match, John Mousinho was left complaining about the conduct of Millwall fans behind the dug-out throughout the Championship fixture.
Mousinho had multiple chats with referee Ben Toner and fourth official Alan Dale, accusing Millwall fans of using “discriminatory language” while suggesting that the home side’s response to the alleged incident wasn’t good enough.

The FA could punish Millwall if Portsmouth allegations found true
Keith Hackett believes The FA and Metropolitan Police may investigate Mousinho’s post-match claims, in which the Portsmouth manager also hit out at football authorities for not doing enough to combat certain issues.
Last year, two Millwall fans were convicted of tragedy chanting against Leicester City, while they also made headlines last month for singing ‘let him die’ at Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta after he was on the receiving end of a horror challenge by Liam Roberts.
Former FIFA-listed referee Hackett reckons that previous incidents could play a role in any potential punishment Millwall get if Mousinho’s claims are to be found true.

And that includes the Lions being forced to play behind closed doors at The Den.
“Now, The FA will investigate,” Hackett told Pompey News.
“This could result in the closure of the offending area of the ground, a large fine or a complete stadium ban
“A lot will depend on any previous incidents.”
Portsmouth have six games left to stay in Championship
Portsmouth looked as though they were on course to earn a point at Millwall before Ivanovic snatched a winner in the 87th minute.
Andre Dozzell’s 80th-minute goal looked to be enough to maintain a six-point gap to the Championship’s bottom three.
However, Derby were the only team below 17th-placed Pompey to suffer defeat on Saturday, meaning the South Coast club side are now just five points shy of the drop zone with six games left to play.
Next up is a tough trip to play-off-chasing Coventry City on Wednesday night before a huge game at Fratton Park against Derby County on Saturday, 12 April.
