Portsmouth must use Coventry’s celebrations as motivation for Championship survival

For many of the Pompey players, the scenes at full-time would have been gut-wrenching.

The club continues to eerily look over their shoulders as the gap between themselves and the bottom three gets shorter and shorter.

However, instead of dwelling on their recent results, Portsmouth must use Coventry’s celebrations as motivation.

If Pompey manage to survive this season, the scenes at Fratton Park with be joyous after a long and gruelling campaign.

Many of the players who became heroes in last season’s title-winning season will once again relive the celebrations that occurred.

Much like Paterson, many fans and former players will likely express their joy online as well if the club can achieve this tremendous feat.
