Portsmouth told to sack Mousinho after brutal Coventry loss – ‘Embarrassing’
Portsmouth suffered more late heart-break on Wednesday night as Jamie Paterson’s stoppage-time strike earned Coventry a 1-0 victory.
The result was cruel on Pompey who had held Frank Lampard’s side for 93 minutes.
However, the result now means that Portsmouth have suffered back-to-back late defeats going into the crucial final few fixtures.
As a result, many of the Portsmouth faithful are not happy and are calling for immediate action to be taken if they are to survive the drop.

Portsmouth fans call for John Mousinho to be sacked
The defeat to Coventry has not left Portsmouth in a good position. They are now just three points above the drop zone with five games left to play.
Relegation back to League One could be devastating for the club after they spent over a decade attempting to return to the second tier.
Now, some Portsmouth fans are calling for drastic action to be taken in order to avoid relegation, with some stating that Mousinho should be sacked.
However, many fans are still backing Mousinho as they go into a crunch game against Derby on Saturday.
Sacking John Mousinho is not a short-term fix at Portsmouth
Simply put, sacking Mousinho would not solve anything at Portsmouth. The club are still on track to survive this campaign as it stands.
Considering this is Portsmouth’s first campaign in the Championship since 2012, finishing above the drop zone is respectable and something that can be built upon.
As it stands, no manager knows the players better than Mousinho and he is well-equip to see out the remaining games.
If Portsmouth do end up going down at the end of the season, questions may then be asked, but it would be incompetent to sack Mousinho at present.
Hopefully, a victory against Derby will follow on Saturday and help subdue the club’s relegation fears and help calm nerves amongst supporters.
Only time will tell if Mousinho is the right man to lead Portsmouth to a second consecutive season in the Championship and there are plenty of signs to suggest he will.
