Portsmouth fans plead with Eric Eisner after what he posted on social media

Eric Eisner was called out by Portsmouth fans after his latest message to the fans.

Eisner was watching on as Pompey defeated Norwich City 5-3 on Friday (18 April) in a crucial match in the Championship.

It was a frantic fixture that was end-to-end and dramatic, as the Blues showcased their attacking qualities to gain a crucial three points.

Colby Bishop scored three goals in an impressive personal display, as he caused the Canaries a whole host of problems, while Matt Richie and Regan Poole added to the scoreline to round out an impressive display.

With Pompey wrapped up in the relegation battle, picking up three points at this stage of the season away from home was massive, as it helped push them away from the bottom three.

John Mousinho’s men now sit six points above the relegation zone with three games remaining, giving themselves a great chance of avoiding the drop to League One.

Eric Eisner was impressed by Portsmouth’s efforts

Portsmouth will be back in action on Monday (21 April) as they host Watford at Fratton Park in a game that could guarantee their survival if they win.

The visitors might be higher in the league table, but Portsmouth have an impressive record against them at Fratton Park, having not lost against them in their previous four home matches.

There’s no shortage of pressure on that fixture, and the Eisner family are sure to be watching the match closely to see how their team performs.

However, Eric chose to post a message on X in a bid to share his thoughts on their victory against Norwich, while also looking ahead to the significant match against Watford.

Eisner said: “Now that was a huge win!! Please don’t hate on sending a tweet (trying social media again lol), we are in this together and have been all year.

“One step closer to the goal for the year. Monday will be a brilliant atmosphere at Fratton. Enjoy Easter weekend. Great start…#pup”

Portsmouth fans have called out Eisner

Portsmouth fans certainly appreciated Eisner speaking openly about the club and the performance that they were able to deliver on the day against Norwich.

However, they also took the opportunity to complain and make a request for Eisner to financially back Mousinho in the summer transfer window.

Pompey have the smallest budget in the division this season, and Mousinho has managed to get the best out of what’s available to him, but fans now want him to have more resources.
