Portsmouth are currently six points above the relegation zone and have created an important buffer for themselves, but with a victory having the potential to guarantee survival on Monday, there is no room to rest for John Mousinho’s squad.
The fact that the fixture is at Fratton Park will bolster the confidence in the Blues, too, as they have been far superior at home throughout this campaign.
Portsmouth are without several players
Portsmouth might have plenty of momentum right now, but they’re also missing a plethora of players, which is impacting Mousinho’s selection options.
Ibane Bowat, Jacob Farrell, Paddy Lane, Hayden Matthews, Connor Shaughnessy and Alexander Milosevic are all dealing with injuries at the moment.
Callum Lang is another player that Pompey don’t have available right now as he’s not 100 per cent fit, although he is starting to push closer towards being back for the final stretch of games.
