‘Portsmouth can set up Abu Kamara return’ with win v Hull City
Portsmouth could be preparing to welcome Abu Kamara back ahead of the clash against Hull City on Saturday.
Pompey are preparing to welcome the relegation-threatened Tigers to Fratton Park on 3 May, the final day of the Championship season.
Although John Mousinho’s side are already safe, the same can’t be said for Ruben Selles’ men, who currently sit 22nd in the table.
If results go against the Yorkshire outfit, there is every chance that the home side could make a swoop to bring Kamara back to the south coast in the summer.

Portsmouth can steal Kamara after Hull relegation
The 21-year-old made a permanent switch to the MKM Stadium in the summer after returning to Norwich City at the end of last campaign.
This came after a productive loan spell with Pompey, where the England under-20 international made over 50 appearances and scored 10 goals, assisting a further 11.
Kamara has struggled to replicate that output in the second tier with just five goals and three assists as the Tigers look set to face relegation.
Stat | Portsmouth 23/24 | Hull City 24/25 |
Appearances | 52 | 36 |
Goals | 10 | 5 |
Assists | 11 | 3 |
As the side in orange and black travel to the south coast, they need to avoid defeat, otherwise relegation will be confirmed regardless of other results.
This could prove to be the perfect opportunity for Mousinho to reunite with the forward in PO4 after missing out on his signature in the summer.
Hull bid more for the Norwich man than the Fratton Park club were willing to do, and as a result, a move could now make sense in the upcoming window.

Kamara could welcome return to Portsmouth
After narrowly missing out on the playoffs with Liam Rosenior last campaign, a move to Yorkshire made sense for the winger ahead of the new season.
It is fair to say that it hasn’t worked out, and there is every chance that the Tigers could be playing League One football next campaign.
This could see Kamara look to return to the second tier with Pompey to play alongside the likes of Josh Murphy and Matt Ritchie in the forward line.
It will be interesting to see if the Englishman would welcome a move back to Fratton Park and what that would mean for the future of Christian Saydee and Harvey Blair.
