Portsmouth share official Mousinho announcement from Fratton Park
Portsmouth have shared a new announcement regarding John Mousinho.
There have been rumours circulating about the long-term future of the Pompey boss, despite the fact that he has managed to guide the Blues to safety.
Portsmouth will not be relegated to League One this season, and Mousinho has played a significant role in making that happen due to his coaching qualities.
Pompey have the lowest budget in the division, yet they have comfortably avoided the drop, which has gained a lot of attention on Mousinho.
While the Fratton Park faithful don’t want to see him leave, there is a concern amongst supporters that a club further up the table might look to hire him for next season.
West Brom will be in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League during the 2025-26 campaign, and are currently managerless, which has led to links with Mousinho.

Portsmouth have a plan for John Mousinho
Losing the Pompey boss would be a huge blow to the south coast club after all the work that he has put together during his time in charge.
Mousinho has guided Portsmouth to this point, and with the right financial backing, would likely be able to take the team a step further up the division.
Portsmouth have now made an announcement on his immediate future, but it’s not what many supporters would have expected.
That’s because Mousinho is going to be lacing up his boots one more time, as he takes to the field at Fratton Park, rather than the dugout.

The Pompey boss is going to be playing alongside various other former Portsmouth stars such as Paul Robinson, Yakubu, and Gareth Evans for a charity game against a celebrity team on Monday (May 5).
Portsmouth made the announcement via their official website on Monday (28 April).

Portsmouth are monitoring another manager
Mousinho commitment to charity games for the club after the season is a positive sign in regards to his commitment to the Blues.
However, supporters are likely to remain concerned until the season commences and he is sat in the dugout once more.
Portsmouth have reportedly been monitoring Swansea’s Alan Sheehan as of late, after being impressed by what he’s done during his time at the Welsh outfit.
He could end up being Mousinho’s long-term replacement if things don’t work out beyond this season at Fratton Park.
