Portsmouth v Hull City: Major injury news shared ahead of crunch match
Portsmouth’s final match of the season against Hull City is set to be impacted by a major injury.
Pompey will be attempting to round out the 2024-25 campaign in style in front of their fans at Fratton Park, in what is set to have a fantastic atmosphere as supporters get to celebrate their survival.
John Mousinho’s men will be aiming to continue their strong run of form that they have displayed at the business end of the season.
Portsmouth head into this match with an undefeated run in their previous four games, picking up a 1-1 draw in their most recent outing against Sheffield Wednesday.

Portsmouth will take an advantage into the final game
Pompey still have the chance to climb further up the league table on the final day of the season, as a victory could lead to them finishing as high as 13th if other results go in their favour.
However, it will not be a simple game as Hull have got a lot to play for in this match, which means Portsmouth can still have a major impact on the relegation zone.
The visitors are 22nd in the league table, and they will need to pick up a positive result to try and stay in the second tier of English football.
Hull have been handed a significant blow heading into the last game of the season, though, as it has been reported by HullLive (28 April) that Regan Slater will be unavailable.
The 25-year-old sustained an ankle injury during their most recent outing against Derby and had to be taken off after only 15 minutes due to the situation.
That is now going to rule him out of this game, which is going to weaken the Tigers in a game that they can ill afford to lose.

Portsmouth also have an injury issue
It isn’t just Hull dealing with an injury problem heading into this game, as Mousinho will also be without a key player for this game.
Sunderland loanee Adil Aouchiche is going to miss out on what would have been his final game for the Blues because of an injury.

It is unknown if he will return to Fratton Park next season with Pompey or not, but Aouchiche won’t play any part in this fixture.
