The Tigers will have to beat Portsmouth and hope that Luton fail to beat West Brom to avoid an unwanted return to League One.

Meanwhile, Mousinho’s side are vying to extend their unbeaten run to five games as they strive to end the season on a high.

Pompey fans think Marlon Pack is heading for Fratton Park exit

Mousinho opted to name Marlon Pack in his midfield for Pompey’s final Championship encounter of the season, prompting some supporters to believe that the 34-year-old is saying farewell.

One Portsmouth fan wrote on X: “A Pack farewell?” while another user commented “Is this a goodbye to Marlon?”

Pompey will be eager to earn a final day victory

Portsmouth secured Championship survival with their back-to-back Easter weekend wins over Norwich and Watford, and have nothing but pride left to play for.

Meanwhile, opponents Hull will be desperate for a win at Fratton Park with their second-tier status still left to fight for.

But Mousinho’s side should be eager to earn what would be a third victory in five attempts, and could still finish as high as 13th in the Championship table if other results go their way.

Although Pack is still under contract with Pompey until 2026, supporters seem convinced that the 34-year-old could be on his way out of Fratton Park.

Either way, the versatile servant will be eager to play his part in a final-day victory on home soil for Mousinho’s men.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth have more firepower among their ranks than in recent weeks, as Callum Lang has returned to the starting lineup for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in February.
