Aouchiche’s injury issues mean signing him should be a no go
Aouchiche’s limited impact, coupled with his current fractured bone injury, which may delay his pre-season readiness as noted by Dr. Rajpal Brar, makes him a risky investment for a team needing dynamic attackers to climb the table.
Brar told Pompey News: “Typically, the process is to stabilise that area until the bone has healed to a certain extent and then start to load it gradually to build it back up again.
“Whether he’s ready for pre-season day one or not will depend on the full specifics of the fracture.
“There is a chance that it could even take longer as the healing process varies from person to person, so it’s important they monitor him well during the off season.“
Portsmouth still need a player who fits the same profile as Aouchiche
Instead, Portsmouth should target a player of Aouchiche’s calibre – a young, creative attacking midfielder with potential – but with a stronger track record and physical reliability.
To do this, they can leverage their Fratton Park fortress reputation, where they’ve been impressive in 2025, to attract talent.
Mousinho should scout leagues like Ligue 2 or the Eredivisie, where players could be attainable for a £2-3million fee or loan with a buy option.
