Portsmouth exits: Six first-team players leave Fratton Park
Portsmouth have already parted ways with six players ahead of the summer at Fratton Park.
Pompey had an excellent first season back in the Championship under John Mousinho as they avoided a relegation scrap with ease.
This saw the south coast outfit secure a 16th-place finish in the second tier, which could spark a busy transfer window in the coming months.
With that in mind, multiple players have already confirmed a departure from PO4 within just a week of the curtain falling on the campaign.

Portsmouth have lost six players already
There is likely to be an increasing number of players who depart Fratton Park now that the season has come to an end.
Others could be subject to offers from other clubs, with Josh Murphy bound to be of interest to a number of sides across the Championship.
Stat (Championship 24/25) | Josh Murphy |
Appearances | 42 |
Goals | 7 |
Assists | 14 |
It will certainly be interesting to see if Pompey will keep hold of their best players ahead of the new campaign in the Championship.
Although there will be a threat of losing players through sales, six players have already completed an exit now that their loan spells have come to an end.
Freddie Potts, Rob Atkinson, Mark O’Mahony, Isaac Hayden, Kaide Gordon and Adil Aouchiche have all returned to their parent clubs after their temporary contracts finished in PO4.
This certainly leaves the south coast club light in a number of different areas, with a number of new signings needed to help fill the gap left by these six moving on.

Portsmouth must deal with transfer exits appropriately
There is no doubt that such a large number of loan players departing will be a huge problem moving into the new campaign.
That will certainly be the case if they aren’t replaced with a similar or better level of player, especially if Mousinho sets his eyes higher up in the Championship.
Players at the level of Murphy and even the likes of Colby Bishop and Nicolas Schmid will be needed for upward growth moving forward.
It will certainly be interesting to see how many players come in and at what level the new additions are in the coming weeks and months.
