Portsmouth to bank up to £10m after new developments – Exclusive
Portsmouth may have looked shaky at times, but John Mousinho led his side to Championship safety with time to spare this season.
The South Coast outfit were underdogs after being promoted from League One last season and having one of the smallest budgets in the second tier.
However, after having secured a second successive season of Championship football, Pompey will now be looking to build upon what they have done so far.

Portsmouth set for further revenue increase
The Championship is no easy league, and with the likes of Birmingham City and Wrexham coming up from League One, the money is only going to increase.
With that in mind, Michael Eisner has already admitted he is thinking about ways to increase revenue streams at Fratton Park, with a behind-the-scenes documentary on the cards.
Finance expert Dan Plumley, speaking exclusively to Pompey News, has reassured those at Portsmouth that they should be set for more financial gain next season, however, thanks to survival in the Championship.
“It’s brilliant financially for the club. We said this on promotion, didn’t we, the average ballpark in your uplift in revenue from League One to Championship is in between £7-10million,” Plumley explained.
“Most of that is TV money, we’re into the first year of a new EFL TV deal, so that kind of factors into that on a bit of an uplift. Few ability to generate bigger commercial contract links into that, but it’s the same again then.
“It’s not just £7-10m in one hit, it’s the guaranteed TV money in the region of your £7-10m again and then whatever you can squeeze out of other things.
“And as you say, the prestige then of the other fixtures as well and leveraging some of those bigger games.
“It’s going to be same again for Portsmouth this year in the coming season in terms of that revenue uplift again that they wouldn’t have had in League One and, all ends up just I’d imagine a very good season internally that they’re thinking about for the way they’re reviewing it, it’s really good financially as well and it sets them up for a good future, plans and projections and stuff like that.”

Portsmouth can continue to grow in the Championship
Mousinho deserves plenty of credit for the work he has done at Fratton Park this season, which has gained him admirers from elsewhere.
Portsmouth need to make sure they hold on to their boss, though, and provide the necessary support to achieve further growth in the Championship.
| Position | Played | Wins | Draws | Losses |
| 16 | 46 | 14 | 12 | 20 |
With games against the likes of Southampton next season too, it brings a real big feeling back to the South Coast and will no doubt be a key event in the calendar.
Survival is massive in terms of keeping that higher income at a steady rate, and the fact that Eisner is ready to add to this, too, shows there is a real plan for progression.
Another big season is ahead at Fratton Park, but it could be the 2025/26 campaign that really puts a marker down about which direction Portsmouth are going in, in the coming seasons.
