Abdoulie Manneh to ‘join Portsmouth with exit in mind’ after new transfer reveal
Abdoulie Manneh is one of the first names to be linked with a move to Portsmouth this summer, with the list expected to grow rapidly.
John Mousinho has been praised for the job he has done this season at Fratton Park, as Pompey secured another year in the Championship.
After a 16th-placed finish, Portsmouth will be looking to climb higher next season, and the summer transfer window will be critical to that.
Manneh, an attacking midfielder for Mjallby, has already caught Pompey and Mousinho’s eye, with the Championship club becoming an increasingly likely destination for him this summer.

Portsmouth an attractive option for Manneh
Despite small coffers, Portsmouth are set for a financial boost in the upcoming season, with an expected £7-10million revenue mostly due to a new EFL TV deal.
This elevated financial position could provide Pompey the freedom to make important moves this summer, with Manneh possibly topping their list.
The Gambian has scored seven goals in 13 games for Mjällby AIF in 2025 and could light up the Championship if given the chance.
Manneh could cost up to £4million, and it would be a huge statement of intent from the Eisners, with an approach already made.

When asked his dream in an interview with Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen (22 April), he said: “To play in the top five leagues. Hopefully, it will happen.”
With his contract running out in 2027, Portsmouth do not have a more perfect opportunity to make his dream a reality.
Portsmouth are the perfect stepping-stone
As well as Portsmouth, Burnley, Wolves, and Brighton are all vying for Manneh’s signature.
With top-flight clubs interested in the forward, it will be difficult for Portsmouth to secure his transfer.
However, after a successful season in the Championship and a plan to make gains in the league, Pompey could be the perfect stepping stone.
Indeed, Brighton and Wolves would most likely loan him out to a Championship team after his signing, and it is doubtful whether he will have a say on what club it will be.
Portsmouth have the time, space and environment to allow Manneh to develop as a player with the option of transferring to a Premier League side in the future and may even make a pretty profit themselves.
