Portsmouth transfers: Midfielder wanted by Mousinho agrees five-year deal
John Mousinho wants multiple new additions at Portsmouth this season as Pompey look to build on their recent success.
Portsmouth had a solid return to the second tier this season after their 16th-place finish.
However, there is a big risk that the South Coast club could go backwards if they do not bring in multiple signings this summer.
Multiple names have been linked to Fratton Park. However, Mousinho has now received his first major blow of the transfer window after Watford signed Hector Kyprianou.

Portsmouth miss out on Hector Kyprianou as Watford sign Peterborough captain
Pompey are desperate for a new midfielder this summer after Freddie Potts returned to West Ham.
Plenty of names have been linked with a move to Portsmouth this summer to replace the 21-year-old.
Crystal Palace youngster Hindolo Mustapha has been seen as one of Pompey’s potential targets.
However, Portsmouth’s continued search has now seen them miss out on one of their top targets as Hector Kyprianou moves to Watford.

According to The News (21 May), Mousinho was a big fan of the Cypriot international whose contract expired at Peterborough this summer.
However, it was Watford who got the signing over the line, as the midfielder signed a five-year deal at Vicarage Road.

Portsmouth need to speed up their midfielder pursuit
The loss of Kyprianou is a shame, but it was likely preventable. Portsmouth have been searching for a midfielder for weeks and are yet to settle on a clear top target.
If Pompey told the Cypriot that he was their number one choice, he may have chosen Fratton Park.
Portsmouth need to clearly outline which stars are their main targets over the next week, or they risk losing more players to different clubs.
Hopefully, Mousinho realises this and narrows his search for a midfielder.
