Portsmouth told to ‘delete hideous new shirt release’ after reveal
Fratton Park should be a place of excitement this summer, as Portsmouth look ahead to a second consecutive season of Championship action.
John Mousinho has plenty of work to do with the support of Michael Eisner to strengthen his side in preparation for a push further up the table.
However, a new shirt announcement out of Fratton Park may have curtailed the mood somewhat.

Portsmouth release new kit
After coming a bit too close to the relegation zone at times this season, Pompey have their sights set firmly on a more secure campaign.
That will be no easy task, though, as the South Coast side has one of the smallest budgets in the second tier.
With the likes of Birmingham City and Wrexham having been promoted from League One, the gulf in spending ability is only going to increase in the Championship.
Nevertheless, Eisner has a manager he trusts in Mousinho and Fratton Park proved to be a fortress last season, so the Blues will be eager to use that to their advantage again.
If Pompey come running out in one shirt, though, it may make the crowd go a bit quieter.
Announced via X (12 June), Portsmouth have released a limited edition shirt that is made up of components of various shirts from over the years.
Supporters are not massive fans of the way the shirt has been put together, however, with calls for the shirt to be deleted for being “hideous.”
Thankfully, it’s just for resale, rather than being used.
Eisner needs to back Mousinho this summer
Portsmouth may have gone through some difficult periods this season, but Eisner chose to stand beside Mousinho, a decision that paid off as he kept the Blues in the second tier.
Position | Goal Difference | Points |

The boss was so impressive that he was linked with several Championship jobs over the summer, although Pompey were glad to keep him on the South Coast.
Nevertheless, Eisner needs to show his faith in investment this summer, ensuring Mousinho has the necessary resources to strengthen his side, ready for another season in the Championship.
Portsmouth have been backed to look in the European market, which could certainly be a beneficial way to strike strong deals.
Hopefully, those go down better than this stinking new shirt.
