Alexander Robertson ‘buzzing’ as Portsmouth agree terms for signing
Alexander Robertson has spoken out after Portsmouth completed their first signing of the summer.
The 22-year-old spent a season on loan at Pompey in the 2022/23 season as promotion from League One was confirmed after seven years.
This saw many supporters want the versatile midfielder back at Fratton Park before he eventually joined Cardiff City ahead of last season.
The Australia international has now shared his instant reaction from PO4 as a summer signing was completed and announced.

After opting to complete a move to the Welsh capital, the ex-Manchester City man now finds himself back in League One.
The Bluebirds suffered relegation from the Championship last time around, as the south coast club survived with ease in the second tier.
As a result, a return for the Aussie could be on the cards in the current window, as John Mousinho looks to improve his squad.
This isn’t yet the case, but the midfielder has now showcased his love for Pompey, despite not currently being a member of the side.
This comes after Adrian Segecic signed from Sydney FC earlier in the week, in a first summer deal announced by Portsmouth.
Taking to Instagram (19 June), the 21-year-old sent a message to the PO4 faithful as he said: “Buzzing to be joining a massive club like this. Can’t wait to get started. POMPEYYY, POMPEYYY.”
This was met by a message from ex-Fratton Park man Robertson, who commented: “Congratulations brother, buzzing for you.”
Segecic could be real coup for Portsmouth
With the loan deals ending for both Freddie Potts and Isaac Hayden, there was a dire need for midfield reinforcements at Fratton Park.
It appears that Pompey have taken a step closer to building a fresh-faced midfield with the signing of the Australian.
Segecic scored 18 and assisted three in all competitions for Sydney last season across a wide array of positions across the midfield and out wide.

It will be interesting to see where the new man lines up under Mousinho, and how he will link up with the likes of Josh Murphy and Callum Lang in attacking areas.
