‘Abdoulaye Kamara has point to prove at Portsmouth’ as fresh images emerge
Abdoulaye Kamara now has a chance to impress the Portsmouth coaching staff after a difficult spell.
The Guinean signed for Pompey from Borussia Dortmund last summer but only went on to make a handful of appearances in the Championship.
This saw a number of other options preferred by John Mousinho as the season went on, and survival was ultimately achieved.
The new campaign could prove to be a massive opportunity for the 20-year-old, who now has the chance to showcase his talents on Copnor Road.

As it stands, the wide attacking roles is arguably the PO4 club’s best position for strength in depth as it stands.
In Josh Murphy, Pompey have one of the best wingers in the division and also have Matt Ritchie, Paddy Lane and Harvey Blair to add to that.
This has only got better with the addition of Adrian Segecic from Sydney FC, who could be set to feature on the right on the South Coast.
As a result, life is going to be difficult for Kamara after going over five months without an appearance in blue to this point.

Having last played against Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup on 10 January, it was a shock to many to see the winger in training images shared by Portsmouth on X (24 June).
These pre-season sessions, therefore, will represent the ideal chance for the ex-Dortmund youngster to prove himself and earn a better role in the first team.

Kamara could shine at Portsmouth next season
With how positively the last campaign finished, there is hope that next time around things can go as swimmingly for Mousinho and Co.
This will likely see new stars come to the fore just as Murphy did last time around, with Kamara potentially set to be that man.
There is a need for individuals to take ownership at points, with the 20-year-old potentially having the opportunity to do so.
It is fair to say that he has plenty of competition, especially with Lane and Callum Lang returning from lengthy injury concerns of their own.
