Portsmouth supporters will love what Alex Robertson has said
Portsmouth fans are dreaming of making Alex Robertson their fifth Australian player in this summer’s transfer window.
Pompey have already completed the signing of Adrian Segecic, who joins fellow Aussies Hayden Matthews, Thomas Waddingham and Jacob Farrell at Fratton Park.
However, that’s seemingly not enough for some fans. Many are crying out for Pompey to add Robertson to their ranks.
And these cries might get louder after the young midfielder’s recent admission.

Robertson shares love for Portsmouth in new interview
Portsmouth’s new boy Segecic was joined by fellow countryman Robertson as part of a video for Joner Football (25 June).
During the discussion, Robertson was asked about his time in England and spoke particularly highly about his loan spell at Fratton Park.
The 22-year-old said, “When I went on loan, I loved it. I loved Portsmouth.”
Some fans have shared the interview on social media, pointing out that he only referred to his time at Cardiff as “good”.
These fans might be guilty of reading too far between the lines. However, that’s how it gets when a player is linked with a move to your club.
Cardiff are likely to demand too much money for Robertson
Robertson chose to join Cardiff last summer despite Portsmouth’s interest in signing him permanently.
However, the Bluebirds were relegated last season after finishing bottom of the Championship, leaving Robertson facing the prospect of League One football.

Therefore, all the pieces seem to be in place for Robertson to return to Fratton Park. Portsmouth’s Australian connections. John Mousinho is known to be a fan. And now Robertson is revealing his love for the club.
However, the crucial element is Cardiff, who would likely want a significant fee for their young star.
Portsmouth have one of the smallest transfer budgets in the Championship, and it’s thought they could be priced out of a move.
However, Robertson is only 22, and there’s always a chance that things could change in the future. Perhaps this is a homecoming that fans will have to wait a bit longer for.
