Portsmouth to bid under £850k to sign Kosznovszky as news emerges from Hungary
Portsmouth have turned their attention towards Hungarian midfielder Mark Kosznovszky in recent days.
The 23-year-old plays for MTK Budapest in the Hungarian top flight, where he notched three goals and four assists for the capital club last season.
Adrian Segecic is the only new signing of the summer for Pompey so far, but with their pursuit of Kosznovszky now beginning to gather pace, it seems as though another addition could be in order in the next few days.

Portsmouth are lining up a bid of under £850k for Kosznovszky
John Mousinho’s side are understood to have already tabled a contract offer to Kosznovszky, which would see him earn a weekly wage in the region of £5,700 on the south coast.
Their current proposal is for a potential three-year deal, and it now looks as though they are set to back up their approach to the player with a formal bid to his club.
Pompey are expected to send off an initial offer to Budapest on Sunday, according to the Hungarian outlet Nemzeti Sport (29 June).
It is believed that their offer for the midfielder will be under £850,000, which is unlikely to see them reach an agreement on the first attempt.
MTK Budapest are said to have a valuation of £1.2million for the former Parma youth team player.
Assuming that Pompey see their initial bid knocked back as expected, the Mousinho and the Eisners will then have a decision to make over how much they are realistically willing to up their offering.

Portsmouth should be cautious in their approach for Konoszovszky
Given the limitations of Portsmouth’s budget at Championship level, they should be very wary of how much they are willing to pay for Konoszovszky.
Their numerous Australian signings in recent years have seen them gain a reputation as a club who are happy to explore slightly more leftfield leagues to find talent.
That will surely see them land plenty of bargains in the future if the strategy is well-executed, however they will also be firmly aware of the fact that not every signing of that mould will come off as expected.
A fee in excess of £1m is a lot of money for a Championship club to spend on a player who has no prior experience of English football.
It could prove to be a masterstroke if Kosznovszky makes a bright start at Fratton Park, but if he struggles to make the necessary adaptations, then it could leave Pompey wishing they had spent that money elsewhere.
