Portsmouth ready bid to sign USA star Yow as club set for transfer windfall
Portsmouth have made just one signing in the summer transfer window so far, but they have now made a move to add another player to their ranks.
Adrian Segecic joined from Sydney FC as the first arrival of the window, and the attacker joins a roster of Australians at the club.
Portsmouth secured their survival in the Championship, but the squad will need reinforcements, and with several players departing this summer, the South Coast club will need to move quickly.
John Mousinho already has his eyes on a number of targets, and Pompey are now ready to bid for one of them.

Portsmouth keen on Griffin Yow
Portsmouth are keen on bringing another winger to Fratton Park, and have now identified Westerlo attacker Griffin Yow as a potential signing.
Yow appeared for the USA national team at the 2024 Olympics, and has three international caps to his name overall, while he has also impressed in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

Journalist Tom Bogert has reported via X (1 July) that Yow is expected to leave Westerlo this summer, and while there has not been an official bid, Portsmouth are expected to make one.
If Yow does move, his previous club, D.C. United, will earn 35 per cent of the fee as a result of a sell-on clause.
Yow can bring creativity to Portsmouth
The 22-year-old excels as a right winger, but can also play through the middle and on the left wing, and this versatility could be useful for Mousinho.
Yow recorded 11 goals and assists in 35 games across all competitions last season, and while he offers a goal threat, his creativity cannot be understated.
The USMNT attacker had a storming February last season, recording assists in three consecutive games, and he is a player who has the potential to explode.
Portsmouth fans would love to see an attacking maverick arrive at Fratton Park this summer, and Yow could play alongside Josh Murphy as a speedy and creative wing pairing.
It remains to be seen what kind of offer will be necessary to sign Yow, but Portsmouth will hope to make him their second recruit of what could be a productive summer window.
