Portsmouth told what to pay for Kosznovszky amid Sheffield United twist
Mark Kosznovszky has been linked with a move to Portsmouth this season.
John Mousinho has been chasing a new midfielder to replace Freddie Potts, who has now returned to West Ham.
Therefore, Kosznovszky has been touted as a potential Portsmouth signing this summer after impressing at MTK Budapest.
However, Pompey now face a battle to sign the midfielder as multiple Championship clubs enter the race.

Sheffield United consider move for Mark Kosznovszky
It was reported on Saturday that Portsmouth had submitted a £517,000 bid for Kosznovszky as they look to win the race for the youngster.
This comes as Swansea City entered the race for the 23-year-old as interest in the midfielder grows.
Now, according to Danny Hall via The Star (5 July), Sheffield United are also considering a move for Kosznovszky.
The Blades have recently lost Vini Souza, who has been sold to Wolfsburg. Therefore, Ruben Selles is targetting a potential replacement.
A move for Kosznovszky is being looked at by Sheffield United, with MTK Budapest wanting a seven-figure fee for the Hungarian.
As a result, it is likely that Portsmouth will have to significantly improve their bid for Kosznovszky, with their offer being nowhere near their valuation.

Portsmouth may have to move on from Kosznovszky
Given Sheffield United that joined the race, and the fact that MTK Budapest want at least one million, Portsmouth may have to move on from Kosznovszky.
Pompey’s bid for the midfielder showed that Mousinho does not rate the 23-year-old anywhere near the touted value.

On top of this, even if the South Coast club were prepared to go higher, a potential bidding war could commence given the interest.
Therefore, it may be in Mousinho’s best interest to move on from Kosznovszky and look at other targets.
Hopefully, the Portsmouth manager has other options in mind, ready to bring in at Fratton Park.
