Swift to undergo medical as terms of Portsmouth contract revealed
John Swift will undergo a medical today ahead of a move to Portsmouth.
Pompey have been slow to bring in new signings for John Mousinho’s side so far this summer, with Australian forward Adrian Segecic the only arrival so far.
Several other incomings have been touted, but Portsmouth fans have been made to wait for the next new man pictured in Blue.

Swift set to join on free transfer
Portsmouth experienced a stable first season back in the Championship last season, finishing 16th and away from the drop zone.
With just a five-point gap separating them from 22nd, however, Pompey fans will be hoping next season can seen them progress up the table.
Signings will be needed for that to happen, and luckily, the Blues will not have to wait too long for their next.
According to Daily Express journalist Charlie Gordon (July 12), Swift is having a medical at Portsmouth on Saturday (12 July) ahead of a move that will see him join Mousinho’s side on a two-year deal, with the option of an additional year.

Swift left West Brom at the end of the season, after spending three years there and making 126 appearances, and was linked with a move to Fratton Park last month.
A move appeared to break down, but it appears there has been a major U-turn.
An attacking-midfielder, Swift played regularly for the Baggies last season, producing three goals and one assist.
The move is an emotional one for the Englishman, who was born in Portsmouth and spent time in the academy as a boy.
Swift would depart to Chelsea in 2006, making one appearance for the first team before eventually moving to Reading in 2016, where he spent eight years.
The midfielder also made appearances for several of the England youth teams, and had been touted for a Premier League return in 2022, following a season in which he registered 11 goals and 13 assists for Reading.
Swift is a smart signing for Portsmouth
For a free transfer, Portsmouth will benefit hugely from the signing of Swift.
The 30-year-old brings bags of quality and experience, and a brilliant fitness record that has not seen him suffer a significant injury in over three years.
The attacking midfielder is expected to provide an exciting option for Mousinho in midfield, although a more conservative option may still be required to arrive.
