Blackburn ready to hijack Portsmouth deal to sign Kosznovszky in ‘late bid’
Portsmouth are aiming to make Mark Kosznovszky their third signing of the summer.
The midfielder has impressed in Hungary for MTK Budapest, where he has emerged as a top player.
As a result, reports emerged on Wednesday that Portsmouth have agreed a £1.3m fee for Kosznovszky.
However, John Mousinho now faces a late battle to finalise the move.

Blackburn look to hijack Kosznovszky to Portsmouth
Portsmouth have already had issues with other Championship clubs stealing their targets.
It has been reported that Norwich City are in advanced talks to sign Pelle Mattsson, a star that Pompey have been chasing throughout the transfer window.

Now, according to Lower Tiers (16 July), Blackburn are now ready to lodge a late bid to lure Kosznovszky to Ewood Park.
While Portsmouth have struck a deal with MTK Budapest, the report claims that personal terms are yet to be finalised, which has given Rovers a chance to strike.
As a result, Blackburn’s interest has no doubt complicated the transfer. Kosznovszky may be more tempted to move to Ewood Park given the Championship side’s playoff ambitions.

Mousinho has to be backed in order to get Kosznovszky transfer finalised
Given that Portsmouth look set to miss out on Mattsson, they must finalise the transfer of Kosznovszky.
It would simply be embarrassing if Pompey miss out on two of their transfer targets within a week to other Championship sides.
On top of this, the pressure is now mounting due to the limited transfer activity the Fratton Park side have completed so far.
Therefore, Mousinho has to be backed by Portsmouth to ensure that the South Coast club get Kosznovszky done.
If not, there is a real risk that Pompey will go backwards this season and waste years of growth up the English pyramid.
Hopefully, Portsmouth will now be able to get the transfer of Kosznovszky quickly finalised before Blackburn turn the midfielder’s head.
