‘Granit Xhaka to unlock Portsmouth transfer’ as Sunderland eye agreement
Portsmouth could be in line to benefit from Granit Xhaka’s next move.
Pompey are yet to take full advantage of the summer transfer window, though John Mousinho will be pleased with the business done so far.
Adrian Segecic looks to be a fantastic addition at Fratton Park, with the arrival of John Swift only likely to serve as a benefit as the season goes on.
However, it could be a transfer on Wearside which gets the ball rolling on a move that could come to fruition at Portsmouth.

Sunderland could greenlight midfield exit
Sunderland look set to have a real go at achieving survival in the Premier League next season, having already spent over £100million following promotion.
The latest link has seen Granit Xhaka mooted for a move to Wearside, and his arrival could serve as a huge benefit for Pompey.
The Blues had been linked with a move for Nectar Triantis earlier in the summer, though the Australian wanted to remain on Wearside to fight for his place in the side.

With Xhaka potentially becoming the Black Cats’ fourth midfield arrival of the summer, it would seem highly unlikely that Triantis would get gametime, and could be moved on.
Given his displays for Hibernian last season, Portsmouth would be silly not to pursue a deal should that be the case.

Triantis could transform Portsmouth
Triantis joined Sunderland as a central defender, but a loan move to Hibernian has seen him transition into a more than capable midfielder, with several impressive attributes.
His ball-carrying ability is top tier, and his eye for a pass would be well suited to the way that Mosuinho wants his Portsmouth side to play.
Whether it be a loan or a permanent deal, this would be a deal that Pompey cannot pass up should the chance arise.
