Bamford now perfect Portsmouth transfer option as Leeds exit shock announced
Portsmouth are looking to improve their squad ready for their upcoming campaign.
Likewise Championship holders Leeds United are preparing for life back in the Premier League.
As a result, manager Daniel Farke is looking to overhaul his squad ahead of their battle for survival.
Multiple new faces have joined the Yorkshire club this summer, with others linked away.
Now, John Mousinho should consider a move for Patrick Bamford to add to his attacking options.

Patrick Bamford set for Leeds United exit
Mousinho has been on the hunt for new Portsmouth signings all summer.
Pompey have already brought in two new stars at Fratton Park, with John Swift being the latest.
Mark Kosznovszky looks set to become Portsmouth’s third signing of the summer in the next few weeks, with a transfer agreement in place with MTK Budapest.
Now, Portsmouth could have the chance to sign Bamford from Leeds United.

Journalist Graham Smyth confirmed via X (19 July) that the striker was no longer in Farke’s plans.
While Bamford did have a poor season last year, he is still a quality striker with vast experience.
If Mousinho can help him once again recover his form, the striker would be an excellent asset to have for the upcoming season.
The 31-year-old is unlikely to cost much, and he could end up being a bargain for Pompey in the transfer window.
Portsmouth need to search for more attacking options
While Portsmouth do have excellent options in attack, the South Coast club’s depth up top is a serious issue.
The Championship is a long and ruthless division, and if Pompey start to pick up injuries, it could see them dip down the table.
This cannot be allowed to happen, or another relegation scrap could easily be on the cards.
Hopefully, Pompey will seriously consider going in for players like Bamford, as their presence in the dressing room would be a big positive.
On top of this, the striker is likely to net a decent amount of goals, even if most of his appearances are from the bench.
