Freddie Potts reacts to Portsmouth win v Reading amid Fratton Park return rumours
Portsmouth beat Reading in style on Saturday as John Mousinho’s side overcame the League One outfit 4-0.
Jordan Williams, Callum Lang and Colby Bishop all found the net, with the latter scoring twice.
It was a brilliant performance, with Mousinho’s side completely blowing Reading away.
With the new Championship season edging closer, the result was exactly what Portsmouth needed after a few poor results this pre-season.
As a result, many players associated with Pompey were quick to react to the result.

Freddie Potts likes Portsmouth post about Reading victory
Freddie Potts is well-liked at Fratton Park after his successful loan spell at the South Coast club last season.
The midfielder made 38 appearances in all competitions for Pompey before he returned to his parent club, West Ham, this summer.
Portsmouth have been linked with Potts again this summer after he impressed last season.
However, it is claimed that Potts will remain at West Ham, with Graham Potter prepared to give the 21-year-old a chance in the first team.
Nevertheless, the midfielder has not forgotten his Portsmouth ties.
After the victory over Reading, Pompey posted photos from the match on their official Instagram (26 July).
Potts reacted to this post with a like, showing that he is still keeping up-to-date with Potsmouth’s matches.
John Mousinho no longer needs Potts
While Potts was a fantastic player for Portsmouth last season, Mousinho simply does not need the midfielder anymore.
The signings of John Swift and Mark Kosznovszky have given the South Coast club sufficient quality in the middle of the park.

If Potts were to be added to this, it would no doubt boost the squad further. However, Mousinho has now found multiple replacements for the 21-year-old.
Hopefully, the manager will now look to strengthen other areas ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 Championship campaign.
Backup defenders and additional attackers would not go amiss and would certainly help Pompey move further up the table and away from the relegation zone.
