How to watch Southampton vs Portsmouth Championship game: TV channel, live stream, kick-off time
Portsmouth and Southampton are finally set to face off against one another in the South Coast derby on Sunday.
It is the first time the two sides have met since 2019, with John Mousinho looking to become the first Pompey manager to beat the Saints since 2010.
There is plenty of anticipation for the tie, with Conor Chaplin potentially making his second Portsmouth debut against Southampton.
Now, Pompey News has highlighted how you can watch the tie below.

Southampton vs Portsmouth to be shown live on Sky Sports and ITV
Portsmouth do not have many games on TV in September. However, fans will be able to watch the South Coast derby on Sunday from their own homes.
For those living in the UK, Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event are streaming the watch, with kick-off currently scheduled for 12pm.
- Portsmouth are currently one point off the playoffs in eighth
- Pompey have won two of their first four Championship matches, drawing one
- Mousinho’s side did however crash out of the Carabao Cup to Reading
Coverage of Portsmouth’s match starts at 11:30am, and the match can also be streamed from the Sky Sports app.
For those without Sky, a day pass can be purchased from NOW TV. As of 12 September, these are priced at £14.99.
And rather excitingly, the game has also been picked as one of ITV’s limited Championship games for the season, meaning the South Coast derby will be watched by millions.

Portsmouth looking for first away win against Southampton since 1988
A lot will be on the line for Portsmouth’s clash against Southampton.
On top of bragging rights, the fact that the South Coast derby hasn’t been played regularly for years has only increased the need for victory on both sides.
According to Opta via X on 12 September, Sunday’s match is set to be the 40th meeting between the two sides.
40 – Southampton and Portsmouth will face off for the 40th time on Sunday and first time since a 4-0 victory for the Saints in the League Cup in September 2019. Here, Portsmouth will be looking to pick up their first victory at Southampton since January 1988.
If this can be achieved, then Mousinho will be one step closer to becoming a legend at Fratton Park, if he isn’t one already.
