Leicester City make amends with brilliant announcement ahead of Portsmouth match
Portsmouth are away from home again this weekend as they take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Portsmouth suffered a surprising 2-0 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday at Fratton Park on Saturday to go two straight games without a goal.
Pompey were poor against lowly Sheffield Wednesday and will want a good reaction against Ipswich this weekend.
John Mousinho’s side are unbeaten on the road this season and will look to continue that with some tricky away ties on the horizon, including an upcoming trip to Leicester City.
Leicester City praised by Portsmouth fans for ticket prices
Pompey travel to the King Power to face Leicester on 18 October in their next away fixture after Ipswich.
Portsmouth fans were furious when Leicester announced the kick-off time would be moved from 3pm to 7:45pm.
This is due to a Leicester Tigers rugby union match being selected for live television coverage at 3:05pm on the same day.
Leicester have made amends for this inconvenience, however, by announcing ticket prices for the fixture, with adult tickets priced at a very respectable £25 for away fans.
Pompey supporters have reacted positively to this, congratulating Leicester for showing common sense after initially moving the fixture.
Portsmouth have impressed away from Fratton Park
Portsmouth have made a solid start to the season, with the Sheffield Wednesday defeat their first real slip-up of the campaign.
Ahead of the game at Ipswich, Pompey remain unbeaten on the road, including a trip to their great rivals, Southampton.

Portsmouth’s next two away trips are against sides relegated from the Premier League last season, so they will be real tests.
However, if Mousinho can continue to keep his side organised and hard to break down, they can continue to pick up points away from Fratton Park.
